City Departments

Accounts & Finance
The City of Lebanon’s Accounts and Finance Department is responsible for ensuring that all City funds are managed in accordance with generally accepted principles of governmental accounting.

Administration
This department is the managerial agency for all other City departments. It centralizes all business related activities in the City and provides the infrastructure needed to conduct normal business functions as well as providing centralized accountability to our citizens.

Code Enforcement
Code Enforcement handles enforcement of city Codified Ordinances, which include the International Property Maintenance Code, International Fire Code, and other codes which address health & safety issues, blight and graffiti abatement.

Community & Economic Development
The Community and Economic Development Office (“CEDO”) is a self-sufficient department, and acts as the grants administration arm of the City of Lebanon.  The CEDO identifies grants programs that could provide sources of support for a variety of community and economic development initiatives and aggressively pursues these funds.

Fire Department
The City of Lebanon Fire Department has been providing dedicated fire service for a long and honored period.  Many of the companies comprising the department have been in existence for over two hundred years.  Today’s department is one of the most modern and progressive firefighting force in the State.

Police Department
The Lebanon City Police Department is a full service department providing 24 hour police services to the many citizens and visitors of the City of Lebanon.  The department has 41 sworn police officers, four administrative civilian employees and manages fifteen civilian crossing guards.

Public Works
The Department of Public Works provides a wide variety of services including: street maintenance (including paving, snow and ice removal, storm sewer maintenance and street sweeping), leaf and yard waste collection, park and playground maintenance (including buildings, grounds, and equipment), signage maintenance, traffic signal maintenance, and parking meter collection and maintenance.
