Licenses and Permits

Parades and Public Events: Any person, lodge, society, group, association, local party or other organization of any kind must obtain a city permit to use the parks, grounds, streets or sidewalks of the City of Lebanon for parades, gatherings, meetings, public events or demonstrations. The permit application must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event. The fee for a permit is $100. However, at the discretion of the Mayor, the fee may be waived for non-profit organizations located within the city or county of Lebanon. For more information regarding the permit requirements, please refer to Section 501.04 of the Code of Ordinances. 

Peddling: Any person traveling either by foot, wagon, automobile, truck, or other conveyance from place to place, from house to house, or from street to street, selling or taking or attempting to take orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise, books, magazines or personal services shall obtain a peddler’s license. Application for licence must be filed with the City Clerk at least 10 days prior to peddling within the City of Lebanon. Mechanical Device License: A permit is required for any person or business in possession of a juke box or coin-operated amusement device. For more information regarding the requirements for a permit, please refer to Article 333, “Mechanical Amusement Devices Tax”, of the Codified Ordinances.

Street Mural Application: The City of Lebanon has a created a policy for public art and murals. In order for an image visible from a public street to be approved as an allowed mural or street art the image needs review by the Design Review Board and written approval by the Mayor. For more information, please refer to Subsection 1312.13, "Murals and/or Street Art", of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lebanon.

Transient Business License: Any person beginning a transient retail or wholesale business in the City of Lebanon must first obtain a permit from the City Clerk’s Office. The application for license must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at least 30 days prior to the sale.
