Department of Administration:
Finance Officer (Full-Time):
The City of Lebanon is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the city, managing budgets, forecasting financial outcomes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and statements
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
- Conduct financial analysis to guide decision-making
- Manage payroll processes and tax compliance
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial goals
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer of similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Skills:
- CPA certification
- Experience with financial forecasting models
- Knowledge of risk management practices

School Crossing Guard Positions available. Safely cross school students on their way to and from school in the City of Lebanon. $16.42/hour.

Fire Department:
VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF
The City of Lebanon is accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief. This individual will serve as the Officer in Charge (OIC) at fire calls and related incidents in the absence of, or under the direction of, the Fire Chief. Responsibilities include overseeing hazardous materials responses at the operations level and directing fire-fighting forces and activities to protect life and property. The Volunteer Fire Chief is directly responsible to the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief.
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of modern firefighting, fire prevention, and rescue methods
- Minimum of 5 years experience (preferred)
Required Education
- PA State Fire Academy Firefighter II Certification, or related field
- Considerable administrative experience or equivalent on-the-job experience
Residency Requirement
Must reside within a reasonable distance of the City limits, as approved by the Mayor and Fire Chief.
