Department of Administration

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the city, managing budgets, forecasting financial outcomes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Duties:

  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and statements
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
  • Conduct financial analysis to guide decision-making
  • Manage payroll processes and tax compliance
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial goals
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA certification
  • Experience with financial forecasting models
  • Knowledge of risk management practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year

Fire Department:

The City of Lebanon Civil Service Commission will be testing for the position of CAREER FIREFIGHTER in the Lebanon City Fire Department

Applications open on August 28, 2024. Applications may be obtained on-line at www.FirefighterApp.com.  The deadline for submitting the completed application is September 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.  No mailed applications will be accepted.

A physical agility examination will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 9:00 AM at the Lebanon County Fire Training Center, located adjacent to the Lebanon County Career and Technical Center, 833 Metro Drive, Lebanon, Pennsylvania. A written examination will follow for all applicants who passed the physical agility examination.  The written examination will be held at Lebanon City Hall, 735 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, Pennsylvania. 

All applicants must present a signed Medical Clearance Form from an appropriate medical clinician in order to be eligible to participate in the physical agility examination.  Any applicant who does not present a signed Medical Clearance Form will not be eligible to participate in the physical agility examination.

Applicants are required to bring their own turnout gear. Successful applicants will be required to pass an oral examination, physical examination, psychological examination, drug test screening and background investigation.  All applicants must be a U.S. citizen.  All applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age upon the return of their application.  All applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED.  All applicants must possess a valid motor vehicle license. All applicants must possess a current FIREFIGHTER II CERTIFICATION FROM THE PA STATE FIRE ACADEMY OR EQUIVALENT.  Each applicant shall pay a non-refundable fee of $35.00 to cover the cost of the written test, plus a $35.00 FireFighterApp.com Registration Fee.

School Crossing Guard Positions available. Safely cross school students on their way to and from school in the City of Lebanon. $15.90/hour.
