Current Positions
Fire Department:
VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF
The City of Lebanon is accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief. This individual will serve as the Officer in Charge (OIC) at fire calls and related incidents in the absence of, or under the direction of, the Fire Chief. Responsibilities include overseeing hazardous materials responses at the operations level and directing fire-fighting forces and activities to protect life and property. The Volunteer Fire Chief is directly responsible to the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief.
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of modern firefighting, fire prevention, and rescue methods
- Minimum of 5 years experience (preferred)
Required Education
- PA State Fire Academy Firefighter II Certification, or related field
- Considerable administrative experience or equivalent on-the-job experience
Residency Requirement
Must reside within a reasonable distance of the City limits, as approved by the Mayor and Fire Chief.
