Façade Improvement Grant Interest
News Date: Friday, August 15, 2025
The City of Lebanon is preparing to apply for funding through the Main Street Matters Façade Grant Program and is seeking interested property owners within the Central Business District who may wish to participate.
As part of the City’s application, we are requesting $100,000 in state funding, which would allow us to offer individual façade grants of up to $10,000 for eligible commercial or mixed-use buildings. These grants will support exterior improvements that enhance the appearance, historic character, and economic vitality of our downtown.
Key Details:
- Location: Must be within the City of Lebanon’s Central Business District
- Eligibility: Commercial or mixed-use properties
- Grant Amount: Up to $10,000 per project
- Match Requirement: 50/50 match from the property owner
- (For example, a $10,000 grant requires a $20,000 total project cost)
- Project Timeline: Projects must be planned for completion in 2026
To strengthen our application, we must demonstrate documented demand from interested property owners. If you are considering a façade improvement project in 2026 and would like to be included as a potential participant, please fill out the enclosed form and respond by Friday, August 22, 2025.
Participation at this stage is not a commitment, but an expression of interest that will help us demonstrate local demand and improve our chances of securing funding.
If awarded, the City will follow up with next steps for a formal application and program guidelines.
Please email all requested information to Janelle Groh at jgroh@lebanonpa.org. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City at 717-639-2800, Option 5.
We appreciate your continued commitment to improving downtown Lebanon!
