Snow Emergency Declared
News Date: Friday, January 23, 2026
Snow emergency goes into effect at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24......
A snow emergency has been declared in the City of Lebanon effective at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Information will be posted when the snow emergency is cancelled.
Persons are encouraged to begin moving their vehicles from the snow emergency routes. For the convenience of our citizens, there will be free parking, effective immediately, on all metered City parking lots for the duration of the snow emergency. No parking is permitted on designated snow emergency routes, except for the southside of Mifflin Street, between Ninth and Tenth Streets.
Although it is not a designated snow emergency route, we advise persons parking on Maple Street from Lincoln Avenue to Ninth Street to remove their cars, as the plows will frequently be passing through their area. Persons parking on designated snow emergency routes or operating vehicles without snow tires or chains on these routes will be subject to fine.
Citizens may call the Public Works Department at 717-639-2800, Option 4, with any concerns regarding the snow removal operations. Please leave a detailed message, including the street address of the area of concern and the nature of the problem. It would be helpful if the caller provided a contact name and telephone number in case crews need clarification.
